I am a Certified Medical Assistant. In my previous job I assisted the Doctor in;

  • examination and treatment of patients.

  • Interviewed Patient.
  • Measured vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
  • Recorded information on patients' charts.
  • Prepared treatment rooms for examination of patients.
  • Draped patients with covering, and positioned instruments and equipment.
  • Handed instruments and materials to doctor as directed.
  • Cleaned and sterilized instruments.
  • Did inventory, ordered medical supplies and materials.
  • Operated x ray, electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test.
  • Called medical facilities, and departments to schedule patients for tests.
  • Gave injections, treatments, and performed routine laboratory tests.
  • Performed secretarial tasks, and completed insurance forms.
  • Entered data into computer to maintain office and patient records.
  • Kept billing records, entered financial transactions into bookkeeping ledgers, and computer and mailed monthly/statements to patients.
